Steps for Use:

  1. Raise your build plate toward the top of the Z-axis.
  2. If your resin has been sitting for more than a few days, mix it thoroughly to prevent separation, which can lead to incurable areas. Use a soft silicone spatula, such as Wham Bam’s ULTIM8™ WYP, to gently stir the resin in the vat, ensuring a homogeneous solution. While mixing, check for any hardened pieces in the vat; if found, carefully remove and dispose of them.

  1. Place your ULTIM8™ VAT base down toward the corner of your vat, it should be positioned in such a way that 75-80% of the tool overlays the screen and the rest overlays the border such that it provides a great corner peel.
  2. Use a light pressure down while swirling slightly the ULTIM8™ VAT to ensure the bottom releases and makes contact with the FEP.
  3. Use your machine control panel to find the screen clean function and activate it.
  4. Hold down the ULTIM8™ VAT while the cleaning cycle is active.
  5. When finished, use a cardboard or tray as a drip catcher and lift the cured resin layer using the handles of the VAT. Let it drip, or hang it using a drip holder or Whammy head holder.

  1. When done dripping, remove the tool and resin. Peel cured resin off the ULTIM8™ VAT and dispose of it.
  2. Drop the VAT in IPA for a final clean. If resin remains in grooves, leave it overnight in IPA.
  3. You’re ready to print!

Note: If you observe chunks or particles in resin, remove the vat, strain using a funnel like ULTIM8™ FUN, and clean thoroughly.

Please note: Upon initial receipt of your ULTIM8 FUN, it may require reshaping due to potential deformation caused by heat or conditions during shipping. Simply massage the funnel, and it will return to its original shape. If stored long-term folded, it may deform slightly again.

Here is an adapter for narrow-mouth bottles.

To use:

To filter resin from vat to bottle, place the ULTIM8™ FUN into the bottle and insert a paper conical filter. Lock top tabs on the funnel hooks if present. Pour resin. Dispose of the cone and wipe with IPA.

Use conical filters for rough pours, then insert our 3D-Printable shelf with Ø110 fine filter paper for final IPA filtering. High-grade silicone resists all chemicals.

Tip: Pour IPA into a glass jar to settle particles via sunlight for 2-3 days. Decant and filter through FUN for ultra-clean IPA.

To use insert one of our included blades:

If your resin has been sitting for more than 12 hours, mix thoroughly to avoid defects.

Follow these steps:
  1. Raise build plate to top Z position.
  2. Mix with WYP + Mixing Blade: slow, steady strokes. Apply downward pressure to contact FEP and stir thoroughly.
  3. Avoid Over-Spill by controlling your speed.
  4. Check for resin chunks: remove and filter with a funnel like ULTIM8™ FUN.

Follow these steps:
  1. Remove the vat.
  2. Initial wipe: use Long Blade to clear large resin areas without scratching.
  3. Edge cleanup: target corners and borders gently.
  4. FEP wipe: minimal pressure for safe cleaning.
  5. Final pass: ensure no residue remains.

Use Short Blade for filtering in tight spaces. Combine with 3D-printable basket for better collection.

Steps:
  1. Install optional basket inside WYP.
  2. Angle WYP + Short Blade at vat edge.
  3. Drag blade gently along FEP to direct resin over blade.
  4. Inspect basket regularly.

Clean Up:

All parts are resin- and IPA-resistant. Leave submerged in IPA post-use, then dry and store.
